• The method/carrier is determined through the Least Cost Shipping System.
• Price breaks for high shipment volumes are negotiated by the Traffic Manager. Bar-coded shipping labels are scanned, the order number is married to the carrier’s tracking number, and the shipped quantity is deducted from inventory.
• Automated shipment manifests are generated and used to audit against shipping bills.
• Customers will be able to call to obtain receipt confirmation (P.O.D.).
